One feature I liked is the ability to change the view. If kids like what they have built, they can take a snap shot with the built in camera. They can also paint the floor to different colors, although not all the builders have this capability. Kids can change the block colors by tapping on the little block at the top-right corner of the screen. The building materials are essentially blocks, just like Mindcraft. If you go into “For Parents” section at the top-left corner of the home screen, you can find detailed introductions about the 6 builders, such as their names, their ability and functionality. Kids can tap on the little smiley face at the bottom of the screen to choose which builder they want to work with, and can switch between builders at any time during the play. There are 6 builders in the app, each has a unique skill set and own style to get work done. Kids simply get in the app and start building.

Like other Toca Boca apps, it is all about free play, there is no goals or scores. It is free for limited time on App Store.

It is a Mindcraft-like building app for kids age 5 and up, slightly older than a typical Toca Boca app’s target age. Toca Builder is another app from Toca Boca.
